FDU Softball Announces 2016 Schedule
The Knights are scheduled for 52 regular season games in 2016.

Full 2016 Schedule
HACKENSACK, N.J. - The 2016 season will consist of 52 games over 39 dates for Fairleigh Dickinson and first-year head coach Katherine ‘KJ’ Kelley.
The slate features games against teams from the America East, Atlantic 10, Big East, Colonial, Ivy, Metro Atlantic, MEAC, Southern, WAC and West Coast. The Knights will play six programs for the first time ever-Elon, North Carolina A&T, Rhode Island, Cal State Bakersfield, Samford and Canisius.
Fairleigh Dickinson starts the season at Elon for a game against North Carolina A&T and three against the host Phoenix on February 27 and 28. March 5 and 6 will see the Knights play URI twice and host Maryland Baltimore County twice over the two days.
The Knights then head west to Los Angeles, California for the second straight year and the Loyola Marymount Tournament from March 11-15. There the Knights will play; Monmouth twice, Cal State Bakersfield three times, Harvard twice, and LMU once, over the four days.
On March 18 through 20, the Knights will take part in the St. John’s Invite with games against the host Red Storm on the 18th, Howard the following day and Samford and Manhattan on the 20th.
The home opener for the Knights will be a doubleheader against Rider on March 23 at the FDU Softball field starting at 3 p.m. The two teams were scheduled to play last season but the doubleheader was cancelled.
Fairleigh Dickinson will participate in the Columbia Classic on March 25 and 26. There the Knights will face Canisius and Columbia twice over the two days.
Double headers at Quinnipiac (3/29) at Siena (3/31) conclude the month of March. The Knights will play non-conference opponents around its Northeast Conference affairs with Stony Brook (4/5), Monmouth (4/13) and double-headers at Saint Peter’s (4/19) and Manhattan (4/26).
The Northeast Conference home schedule consists of; Mount St. Mary’s (4/2), Bryant (4/3), Central Connecticut (4/23) and Sacred Heart (4/24) for Fairleigh Dickinson.
