Grace Period: 2020 Dog License Renewal Notification In Teaneck

The Teaneck Health Department would like to remind dog owners that their 2019 dog licenses expired on December 31st Applications were mailed and notice of such was also posted onto the Township website in late December.

Dog owners have until March 1, 2020 to renew their dog licenses without penalty.

***However, the deadline to renew dog licenses without a late fee has been extended to April 1st

Please note: as of April 1, 2020 a $15 late fee will be added (per dog).

Residents who have new dogs or who need renewal applications may obtain one by calling 201-837-1600 (x 1500) or on-line at www.teanecknj.gov (under Health Department Documents & Forms). Free rabies shots can be arranged through the Bergen Veterinary Hospital at (201) 837-3470 or the Bergen County Animal Shelter at (201) 229-4600 (residents must call BCAS for available clinic dates).

Dog owners should also note that per NJ State guidelines rabies shots that expire prior to November 1, 2020 are NOT valid for licensing purposes. License fees can be paid for by check (made out to: Township of Teaneck) or by cash.
