Hurricane Irene Forces FDU to Delay Start of Semester
Students on both campuses impacted, statement says.

Fairleigh Dickinson University has postponed the start of its semester by two days on both campuses because of the potential impact from Hurricane Irene, the University said in a statement Thursday.
“Freshmen, originally scheduled to move in Saturday, are directed to now arrive on Monday. Upperclassmen, originally scheduled to move in Sunday, are now directed to arrive Tuesday. Classes, originally scheduled to begin Monday, will now begin on Wednesday,” the statement said.
University spokesman Scott Giglio said a limited number of students have already moved in but the University would work with them, if any serious weather issues arise.
