No Township Elections, but Plenty of Reasons to Vote in Teaneck
Regional races include County Executive, County Freeholder, County Sheriff, and New Jersey's Ninth Congressional District
Although there are no municipal elections in Teaneck on Nov. 2, county and congressional races mean residents have ample opportunity to exercise their democratic rights.
Polls will be open in Teaneck from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday.
The race for Bergen County Executive pits Democratic incumbent Dennis McNerney against Republican challenger Kathleen Donovan.

The candidates clashed on spending and bonding in a testy debate Oct. 14 at Bergen County Community College in Paramus. Tax talk dominated the Oct. 18 debate between the Bergen County Freeholder Board candidates, including Democratic incumbents James Carroll, Elizabeth Calabrese and John Hogan, Republicans John Felice, Maura DeNicola and John Mitchell, Green Party candidate Irwin Nack and independent Camille M. Democratic incumbent Leo McGuire takes on Republican Michael Saudino in the race for Bergen County Sheriff. Democratic U.S. Rep. Steve Rothman and Republican challenger Michael Agosta, square off in the race for New Jersey's Ninth Congressional District.

Who To Call With Election Day Issues:
The New Jersey Attorney General's Office has dispatched teams of attorneys to safeguard the elections. Anyone who believes they have been victimized in an election-related crime should contact the state's hotline at 1-877-NJVOTER or (609) 599-6877.
For any questions about Election Day in Teaneck, contact the municipal clerk's office at 201-837-1600 Ext. 1025. Members of the public can also direct election-related queries to the Bergen County Superintendent of Election and county Board of Elections.
A list of county-level election office contacts can be found on the state Division of Elections website at www.NJElections.org. The website offers information about the voting process and voting rights. In addition, the site lists requirements for voters at the polls.
