The Teaneck Peace and Justice Vigil held its first vigil in mid-August 2005 at the National Guard Armory to oppose the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.

They say the vigil is co-sponsored by Veterans For Peace, Chapter 21 NJ, military families, and other area residents.

The Vigil said that their protests, "thousands of passersby, has stimulated many conversations at homes, at work, and among neighbors. It is our goal encourage others to get involved in actions to stop wars and other injustices."

The Armory is located at 1799 Teaneck Road in Teaneck.
