Simon Appoints New General Manager to The Shops at Riverside

Winnette Peltz Assumes Post at Luxury Center

Simon, a leading global retail real estate company, recently appointed Winnette Peltz to the position of General Manager at The Shops at Riverside in Hackensack, NJ.

With over twenty years of experience in property management and leasing, Peltz will bring her extensive knowledge and expertise in luxury retail and urban assets to help oversee a transformative redevelopment underway at The Shops at Riverside that will offer a complete luxury shopping, dining and entertainment experience, further establishing the landmark property as the preeminent retail hub in Bergen County. She will also have oversight in handling the Shops at Riverside’s operations, local leasing, security, marketing and budget functions. In addition, Peltz will be responsible for forging mutually beneficial partnerships with the Hackensack-area business community as well as maintain positive retailer to landlord relations in an effort to further advance the initiatives of the center.

A resident of Westchester County, NY, Peltz brings a wealth of experience to her new assignment, having held management positions at several shopping centers across the nation, including properties in Massachusetts and Arizona. Most recently, Peltz served as Area Manager of Simon’s The Westchester and The Galleria at White Plains. Peltz’s career with Simon began in 2007 when she became the Mall Manager of The Galleria at White Plains.

“We are pleased to welcome Winnette into her new position at The Shops at Riverside” said Robert T. Guerra, regional vice president for Simon’s Northeast region. “Her detailed career with Simon will serve her well in the general manager position, and I look forward to the success she will bring to this world class premier property.”

Along with being a licensed real estate broker in the state of New York, Peltz is a Certified Property Manager by the Institute of Real Estate Management and a Certified Shopping Center Manager by the International Council of Shopping Centers. She is also a former trustee of the White Plains Performing Arts Center, and holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Syracuse University.
