Award Guidelines
Matthew Feldman Community Relations Award:
In 1995 a subcommittee of the Advisory Board on Community Relations recommended that the advisory board institute an annual award to be presented to an individual or group who best exemplifies efforts to improve community relations in Teaneck. In 2020 the Advisory Board added the Youth Category.
Award Criteria:
The award recipient(s):
- Must live or work in Teaneck
- Has worked to improve intergroup and/or community relations
- Has promoted a spirit of community
- Exemplifies the spirit of volunteerism

Youth Award Criteria:
- Must live and attend school in Teaneck
- Demonstrate involvement toward improved intergroup and/or community relations/service
- Demonstrate activities associated with promoting a spirit of community
- Exemplifies the spirit of volunteerism
Requests for award nominees can be publicized through notices to community organizations, including religious congregations, press releases, social media or, flyers. The award will be presented by the Chair of the Advisory Board at a Township Council Meeting that will include a reception (cake and coffee) in honor of the award recipient.
