Teaneck Extends Quarter Two Tax Grace Period
On Tuesday, the township joined much of the state by extending the grace period for second quarter property tax payments until June 1.
TEANECK, NJ — The Township Council unanimously adopted a resolution extending the grace period on second quarter property taxes until June 1.
This comes after Gov. Phil Murphy issued Executive Order 130, providing municipalities the option to further extend the grace period.
The resolution, which was made available on Tuesday, May 5, stated:

"as a result of the declared state of emergency by the Governor due to COVID 19 (sic), many businesses, residents and taxpayers of the Township of Teaneck have suffered a loss of income which has created a financial hardship making it difficult to meet the May 1, 202 due date for timely payment of real property taxes"
