Sunday, June 14, 2020 is Flag Day. It commemorates the adoption of the Flag of the United States on June 14, 1777 by resolution of the Second Continental Congress. When a flag has served its useful purpose, it should be destroyed, preferably by burning. The Teaneck American Legion Post 128 located at 650 American Legion Drive will be conducting a "Disposal of Unserviceable Flag Ceremony" this Sunday at 7:00 PM. This ceremony creates a dignified and solemn occasion for the disposal of unserviceable flags. Residents are welcome to bring all unserviceable flags to the Teaneck American Legion Post this Sunday at 7:00 PM.
