Teaneck To Open All Municipal Parks Saturday Morning
Township Manager Dean Kazinci signed an executive order opening all municipal parks as of 6 a.m. Saturday morning.
TEANECK, NJ — Township Manager Dean Kazinci signed an executive order opening all municipal parks beginning at 6 a.m. on Saturday, May 2. This comes after Gov. Phil Murphy signed an executive order opening state parks and golf courses earlier this week.
Like in other Bergen County communities, the parks will be open for passive recreational activities, which include walking, biking and running or jogging.
It is recommended that visitors where cloth or other CDC approved face coverings while at these parks and visitors must practice social distancing.

Per the executive order, these following areas will remain closed to the public at all municipal parks:
- Picnic areas
- Playgrounds
- Swimming pools, wading pools and splash pads
- Basketball, handball and tennis courts
- Exercise stations and equipment
- Fieldhouse and pavilions
- Dog park
- Baseball, football and soccer fields
- Restrooms including PortaJohns
