More about the meetings, provided by the school district, is below:
The Teaneck Board of Education, under the leadership of Board President Dr. Ardie D. Walser, is pleased to announce the beginning of a Strategic Planning Process. The process will engage parents, students, faculty, staff, administrators, business owners and government leaders in planning for the future of our school district. All residents including public and private school parents and guardians, senior citizens as well as individuals without children are encouraged to participate and share their ideas. This collaborative planning process will culminate with a five‐year plan that will focus the district’s efforts and financial resources towards mutually determined goals that support student achievement while preparing our students for the 21st century.

The process will take place over a three‐month period, one meeting per month that will last for no more than 90 minutes and engage all participants in a series of timed exercises leading to the development of a Strategic Plan. All who attend will be given the opportunity to participate and to collaborate with others. Notes from each meeting will be distributed to all attendees prior to the next scheduled meeting.
The meetings will be facilitated by Dr. Charles Ivory; Executive Director of the southern New Jersey based Educational Information & Resource Center. Dr. Ivory is a highly respected educator with over 40 years of experience having worked as a teacher, administrator, County Superintendent of Schools and a district Superintendent of Schools.
