Teaneck To Put Finishing Touches On Isaias Storm Cleanup

TEANECK, NJ — Power is restored for Teaneck residents after tropical storm Isaias caused mass outages nearly two weeks ago, but the remnants of the storm remain.

Not for long, however.

The township announced that, beginning Monday, the Department of Public Works will begin final storm cleanup efforts in accordance with the township's collection map.

Zone-by-zone cleaning will be instituted, and the map, which can be found on the Teaneck website, will be updated daily.

The DPW will be using front end loaders, dump trucks, sweepers and other machinery to remove all debris from, according to a news release. Residents are asked to put all storm debris on the curb.

"We appreciate everyone's continued patience and expect the cleanup process to take up to two weeks to complete," officials said in a news release.
