The 2020 Presidential November General Election is currently being modified to require a Vote-By-Mail Ballot be sent to every "Active, registered" Voter. EO #177 aspires to secure voters' constitutional right to vote while preserving the health and well being of the Public.

It is important that members of the Public stay informed about the progressions revolving around the 2020 General Election. As more concrete information is released to the Township from the State and County, we will make such information available to the Public.
There are a few points Voters should take note of now:
*The deadline to register to vote for the 2020 General Election is October 13, 2020 https://www.state.nj.us/state/elections/assets/pdf/forms-voter-registration/68-voter-registration-english-bergen.pdf
*All Active, Registered Voters will receive their VBM (vote-by-mail) Ballot by October 5, 2020 - without the requirement to complete an application for such
*Voters who are NOT ADA DISABLED and who must VBM (vote-by-mail) will be able to:
1) Mail their completed ballot to the Bergen County Board of Elections with the postage-paid envelope provided
2) Drop their completed VBM Ballot in one of many secured "Drop-Boxes" throughout the County. The locations of such drop boxes will be announced by Bergen County
3) Return their completed VBM Ballot to their assigned Polling Location on Election Day
*There will be very few physical polling locations on the November 3, 2020 Election Day. Voters who DO NOT COMPLETE their VBM Ballot and wish to go to the polling locations will be handed a PROVISIONAL (PAPER) BALLOT. The physical polls will ONLY be able to be utilized by the ADA Disabled.
*A Notice from Bergen County will be sent to all "Active" Voters notifying them of their assigned Polling Location - among other important information
*THERE WILL BE NO PHYSICAL SAMPLE BALLOTS MAILED TO VOTERS PRIOR TO ELECTION DAY. The Sample Ballot for the 2020 General Election will be available, once established, on a website to be determined by the Bergen County Clerk.

Bergen County residents may register to vote at the Office of the Superintendent of Elections, located at One Bergen County Plaza, Room 380, in Hackensack. In order to meet the needs of residents, this office will be open from 9:00AM to 9:00 PM on Tuesday, October 13, 2020. People may also register at their local municipal clerk’s office, hours vary.
