World/Folk: Violinist Mari Black

Mari is equally at home in Celtic, American fiddling, jazz, tango, klezmer, and more. She has been featured at Celtic Highland Games, Argentine tango festivals, jazz concerts and world-famous venues including Carnegie Hall. Her music has been played on BBC Radio Scotland’s “Take the Floor”, CBS morning news, and NPR’s “Here and Now.” Mari has toured in Brazil, Scotland, Canada, China, Korea, Zimbabwe, Hungary, Poland, Czech Republic, Italy, and France. She is the reigning Glenfiddich Scottish Fiddle Champion and Canadian Maritime Fiddle Champion, 2013 U.S. National Scottish Fiddle Champion and has held titles in many more competitions. Mari presents the best of her repertoire.
