Description:&nbsp;&nbsp;Join Coastline Adventures and Toms River Recreation for four day-long camp for beginner and intermediate level surfers.&nbsp;&nbsp;Learn and practice ocean awareness and surfing techniques includes both board and water-based lessons and progressive skill building.&nbsp; Surfers will learn about wave and weather reports, beach and ocean conditions and related safety protocols, surfboard handling and etiquette, wave selection and riding techniques, environmental and conservation tips, interactive games, and more!!!
Requirements:&nbsp; Participants MUST know how to swim.
Equipment:&nbsp; Surfboard, leash and rash guards are provided for use during class.&nbsp; Participants may bring their own rash guards or wetsuits.&nbsp; Beach badges are NOT required to attend class or for guardians to watch class but are required if participants or guardians plan on staying after class ends.

Youth Bodyboarding Camp with Coastline Adventures & Toms River Recreation

Instructor: Joseph Rogine
These classes are designed for both&nbsp;beginning to advanced students&nbsp;who want to sharpen their skills in drawing. I have taught students for over 25 years who have never picked up a pencil to draw to those who have been quite advanced.
It is an academic course, (academic being defined as that which can be taught). Drawings are created by copying master drawings, simple to complex still-life objects and classical plaster casts. The student usually begins by copying a master drawing that is supplied to them.
All students start out using graphite pencils with grades of 2H HB 2B. The capabilities and limitations of drawing materials and drawing instruments are discussed at length along with their proper handling. Classes are essentially about learning how to see nature and the world as an artist sees it, through the language and medium of drawing.
The student’s eye will gradually become trained and sensitive on how to compose a layout on the page, assessing proportion, elementary perspective, gauge angles, identify shapes, access the degree of curvature of forms, locate hidden movements and linear rhythms, the structure and modeling of form and the study of light and shade. This opens a whole new world towards a visual literacy that was very common in school curricula 100 to 150 years ago.
Depending on a students’ progress and particular interest repeat students are free to experiment with various drawing mediums like charcoal, pastel pencil, pen and ink etc., along with the drawing surfaces applicable to their chosen medium.&nbsp;<a href="https://www.ocartistsguild.org/wp-content/uploads/2023/07/Joe-Rogine-supply-list-2023.pdf" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">Joseph Rogine supply list 2024.</a>
