Car Smashes Into Surgical Supply Store In Toms River
The driver received a summons The crash caused significant damage and forced authorities to close the building for repairs, police said.

TOMS RIVER, NJ — A Berkeley Township man received a summons for careless driving after his car smashed into the front of a building on Route 37 on Thursday, Toms River police said.
Robert Dimino, 71, was pulling into a parking space at Community Surgical Supply at 163 Route 37 West when his car went over the curb and into the building about 1:10 p.m on Thursday, said Jillian Messina, media specialist for the Toms River Police Department.
There were no injuries, she said. The business is closed while repairs are being made after the building was deemed unsafe by an inspector from the Toms River Building Department.

Dimino told police his foot slipped off the brake pedal onto the accelerator, which caused the car to speed up and go over the curb.
Toms River Police Officer Brian Doyle is investigating.
