Crash Closes Hooper Avenue, Knocks Out Traffic Signals In Toms River
A utility pole is down across the Hooper Avenue, and multiple traffic signals were without power, police said.

TOMS RIVER, NJ — A motor vehicle crash has knocked down a pole and knocked out power to multiple traffic signals on Hooper Avenue on Friday afternoon, Toms River police said.
The crash has prompted the closure of Hooper Avenue between Indian Hill Road and Fischer Boulevard, police said.
"There are power outages at multiple traffic signals in the area," police said, and they urged drivers to find alternate routes.

A resident in the area said the crash is on the northbound side of Hooper Avenue near Toms River Intermediate School East. A car hit a utility pole that then came down across Hooper Avenue, blocking traffic in both directions.
"Power is out at Squire Village," the resident said.
