Document Shredding Event Coming Up In Toms River
If you have documents you want to get rid of while protecting yourself from identity theft, Ocean County is hosting a disposal event.
TOMS RIVER, NJ — If your spring cleaning has included gathering old documents that you no longer need, Ocean County is offering the opportunity to have them shredded for disposal.
The document shredding program will be in Toms River on Friday, May 19, in the parking lot at Riverwood Park.
The shredding program will be available from 9 a.m. to noon that day, or until the truck is filled if that is before the end of the event. Riverwood Park is at 250 Riverwood Drive.

Each resident is limited to four file boxes of documents or four clear bags. Black plastic bags are not permitted. No batteries or electronics are permitted as they are a fire risk.
Also not permitted are books, greeting cards, junk mail, photos, X-rays or CDs. All documents will be destroyed confidentially on site.

If you miss the Toms River date, the next document shredding is set for June 3 in Jackson. Additional information can be found on the Ocean County Solid Waste Department website.
