Driver Charged With DWI After Hitting Concrete Wall In Toms River
In addition, a Toms River man was arrested in connection with a Jackson burglary, police said.

TOMS RIVER, NJ — A Lakehurst woman has been charged with driving under the influence after she crashed her vehicle into a concrete wall at a Toms River home early Saturday, Toms River police said.
Esmeralda Menes, 24, was charged with driving while intoxicated, failure to maintain lane and reckless driving after the crash, which happened about 2:40 a.m. Saturday at the intersection of Ocean View Drive and Brookside Drive, said Jillian Messina, media relations specialist for the Toms River Police Department.
The report did not describe the extent of the damage to the concrete wall.

BURGLARY ARREST: Messina said Toms River police on Friday afternoon helped Jackson Township police arrest a man who was being sought in connection with a burglary in Jackson.

Jackson police put out an alert about a vehicle wanted in connection the burglary, and about 3 p.m. Friday, 40 minutes after the alert went out, Sgt. Shan Ruiz found the vehicle on Green View Way while he was on patrol. The driver, Juan Alston, 27, of Toms River, was arrested by Jackson police, who were called to the scene, and taken to Jackson police headquarters for processing.
