DUI Checkpoint Scheduled In Toms River This Weekend: NJ State Police

State police said troopers are on the lookout for impaired drivers in the Toms River area on Saturday, to keep Ocean County roads safer.

TOMS RIVER, NJ — State troopers will conduct a sobriety checkpoint near Toms River on Saturday to keep impaired drivers off the road,according to New Jersey State Police.

"Troopers will be looking for signs of impairment due to alcohol or drugs," state police said in a news release. "If you plan on drinking, have a designated driver, arrange for transportation, or stay where you are. It is not worth the risk of hurting or killing yourself, a friend, a loved one, or innocent motorist."

State police did not give an exact location for the checkpoint.

Troopers ask people to be on the lookout for impaired drivers.

"If you see someone you believe is posing a hazard because of poor driving behavior, please dial #77 from a hands-free mobile device to contact the aggressive driver tip line and make a report," state police said. "Be ready to give a description of the vehicle and occupants, a location and direction, and a license plate if possible."
