Mardi Gras is a time of celebration. Held the day before Ash Wednesday, it refers to the practice of eating richer, fatty foods before the ritual fasting of the Lent season.
Ages: 6-12: Learn about the holiday traditions, enjoy a King Cake, make a mask, and parade the library chanting "Throw Me Something, Mister" to receive colorful, beaded necklaces and trinkets from staff.
