Debbie and Friends will perform at Ocean County Library’s Toms River branch, 101 Washington St., Monday March 19 at 10:30 a.m.
The group will lead children (infants to age 8) and their families on a rocking musical journey through classic kids’ tales and original songs, including “Walk Away.” That song appeared on the recently announced 2011 Grammy-award winning Best Children’s Album, “All About Bullies…Big and Small,” a collection of 37 songs by various artists.
Cavalier and her band’s interactive performances include jokes, dance, games and music drawn from Broadway, rock, pop, reggae, and country. Kids will become wordsmiths, repairing fractured rhymes, and take part in the “Simon Says Song.”
The performance is free and open to the public but registration is required. Call (732) 349-6200 or (609) 971-0514, or go the library’s Web site www.theoceancountylibrary.org for more information or to register.
