'Hairspray' at Toms River High School South

The Toms River High School South Theater Guild proudly presents the hit musical comedy Hairspray. Travel to 1962 Baltimore as pleasantly plump teen Tracy Turnblad dreams of dancing on the Corny Collins Show, winning over heart throb Link Larkin and integrating a TV network – all without denting her ‘do!

The musical, directed by English and Theatre Arts teacher Kristine Perry, stars seniors Melissa Arias as Tracy Turnblad and Trevor Batchelder as Edna Turnblad. The curtain will rise at 7 p.m. on Thursday, March 1 and again at 8 p.m. on Friday, March 2 and Saturday, March 3. All tickets are $5.00 and can be ordered through email (theplayatsouth@trschools.com) or may be purchased at the door. Seating is on a first-come, first-serve basis. There are no reserved seats.
