Evacuations In Seaside Park Due To Gas Leak: Sheriff

The sheriff's office is urging people to avoid the area.

SEASIDE PARK, NJ — Evacuations are under way in Seaside Park due to a natural gas leak, the Ocean County sheriff's office said Wednesday.

The evacuations are in the area from Lafayette Avenue to Decatur Avenue, the sheriff's office said in a Nixle alert at 2:25 p.m.

Police and firefighters are on the scene, the sheriff's office said.
