Free Rabies Vaccination Clinic Set In Toms River

If your dog or cat needs its rabies vaccination updated, Toms River is hosting a free rabies vaccination clinic.

TOMS RIVER, NJ — If your dog or cat needs a rabies vaccination for their 2023 licensing, Toms River is holding a free clinic on Jan. 21.

The clinic is set for 10 a.m. to noon at the Toms River Animal Shelter, 235 Oak Ave., next to the Toms River Police Department.

Pets will receive a 1-year rabies certificate. Written proof of a prior rabies vaccination is needed for the shots to be certified for three years. There will be no adjustments made to rabies shot certificates once the clinic is over.

Toms River residents may also purchase dog and cat licenses at the clinic.

  • The cost is $15 for a spayed/neutered dog and $20 if not spayed or neutered.
  • The cost is $9 for a spayed/neutered cat and $12 if not spayed or neutered.

Payment by check or cash only. All dogs and cats must be in a carrier or on a leash.
