Kittens Thrown From Vehicle On Route 70 In Toms River: Police
Police said one of the kittens was hit by a vehicle and killed; the second ran into nearby woods. They want to ID the people who did it.

TOMS RIVER, NJ — Toms River police are seeking the public's help in tracking down the people who threw two kittens out of a vehicle onto Route 70, resulting in one getting run over.
Police said the incident happened about 8 p.m. Saturday near the intersection with Massachusetts Avenue.
Witnessess told police they saw an older-model faded red Nissan Pathfinder that had black roof racks driving along and the passenger threw two kittens into the road.

One of the kittens was hit and killed immediately, police said. The second kitten was rescued by the caller but escaped into the woods shortly after the photo was taken.
