Laundromat Burglar Stole $1,000 In Coins: Toms River Police

The man is accused of stealing $1,000 in coins from a change machine. Police are hoping someone recognizes this pickup truck.

TOMS RIVER, NJ — Toms River police are seeking the public's help in identifying the owner of a pickup truck that they allege broke into a local laundromat and stole $1,000 in coins.

The burglary happened about 12:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 13, at the Suds Your Duds Laundromat, 1602 Route 37 in Toms River.

The investigation found a mid-year 2000s-style Chevrolet Colorado pickup truck pulled up at the business and parked. Its occupant got out of the truck and went in through the rear door, then stole the coins from a change machine.

A neighboring video surveillance system captured the suspect vehicle as it was leaving the property a few minutes later, and the video showed the pickup heading north onto River Avenue.
