Man Hit By Toms River Police Vehicle On Fischer Boulevard
The man was flown to Jersey Shore University Medical Center for treatment; the Ocean County Prosecutor's Office is investigating.

TOMS RIVER, NJ — A Toms River man was injured Sunday night after he was hit by a Toms River Police Department patrol vehicle on Fischer Boulevard, police said.
William Carberry, 42, was flown to Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune for treatment after he was hit, said Jillian Messina, media relations specialist for the Toms River Police Department.
Carberry was hit about 10 p.m. as he crossed near the intersection with Adams Avenue, Messina said.

The Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office and Ocean County Sheriff’s Department CSI Unit responded and are investigating, as is protocol in a police officer-involved incident.
