Man's Death In Woods Near Toms River Kohl's Under Investigation
Toms River police say the death of the man, who was homeless, does not appear to be suspicious.
TOMS RIVER, NJ — Toms River police are investigating after a man was found dead in the woods behind the Kohl's in the Toms River Shopping Plaza on Thursday.
The man, who is 47 years old, was homeless, said Jillian Messina, media specialist for the Toms River Police Department. His name is not being released pending notification of his family, she said.
"Preliminary investigation revealed there is nothing suspicious at this time," Messina said.
