'Multiple' Crashes Tuesday; 'Use Caution,' Ocean Co Sheriff Urges
One crash partially closed Route 539, another involved three cars, the sheriff's office said.

The Ocean County Sheriff's office is urging motorists to slow down and use caution Tuesday morning in the wake of what they said have been "multiple" motor vehicle accidents.
The sheriff issued Nixle alerts at 6:45 a.m. and 7:15 a.m. about crashes in Jackson Township. One forced authorities to close the southbound lane of Route 539 in the area of West Colliers Mills Road, and the second involved three cars in the area of West County Line Road and Brewers Bridge Road.
There were injuries in the second Jackson crash, but further details were not immediately released.

At 7:30 a.m. the sheriff's office sent a third Nixle, urging motorists to use caution.
"(We are) getting multiple calls due to motor vehicle accidents throughout the County!" the alert said.

The weather was clear and the roads were dry on Tuesday.
