Ocean County Lights Up For Chanukah, Christmas This Week

OCEAN COUNTY, NJ — As Chanukah nears, and with Christmas just a few weeks away, the Ocean County Commissioners are inviting residents to a menorah lighting and a tree lighting coming up later this week.

Several Ocean County communities postponed their holiday tree lightings last weekend, due to rain in the forecast — but the weather looks dry for the county's planned events.

Both festive celebrations will be held at the Ocean County administration building (101 Hooper Avenue, Toms River NJ, 08753). The times and dates are listed below:

Christmas celebration

  • Christmas tree lighting set for Wednesday, Dec. 6 at 4:45 p.m. on the west lawn
  • The Pine Beach Elementary School Chorus will perform, and refreshments will be served.
