Paving Repairs To Close Old Freehold Road In Toms River

The road is set to be closed overnight for milling and paving to repair the road after an emergency water main repair, Suez officials said.

TOMS RIVER, NJ — A section of Old Freehold Road that had to be opened last week to repair a broken water main will be closed overnight this week for road repairs, officials announced.

SUEZ water and its contractor will be milling and paving Old Freehold Road at Mulberry Place, weather permitting, overnight on Tuesday and Wednesday nights, the company said.

The road will be closed in the area from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. both nights.

Residents will be able to access their homes during the work if they are not able to get to them via detours that will be in place.

"SUEZ is appreciative of its customers’ and commuters’ patience and cooperation," the company said in a news release announcing the work.
