Person Of Interest Sought In Connection With Seaside Heights Fire

SEASIDE HEIGHTS, NJ — The Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office is seeking the public's help in contacting a person of interest in connection with a fire that happened last week on Franklin Avenue.

The Major Crimes Unit is investigating the fire that happened about 7:40 a.m. on Oct. 30. Seaside Heights police and the Seaside Heights Fire Department responded to a smoke alarm call at a Franklin Avenue apartment, the prosecutor's office said.

Surveillance video captured a person of interest who may have more information related to the case. Anyone with any information or who may know the identity of the person in the video/photos is asked to please contact Detective Thomas Haskell Jr. of the prosecutor's office at 732-929-2027, ext. 3953, or Seaside Heights Detective Michael McCurdy at 732-793-1800.

"Please note that this individual is only a person of interest and they may have more information related to the case," the prosecutor's office said. "We are asking the public to please share this post and call in if they have any information."
