TOMS RIVER, NJ — A Toms River man has been charged with driving under the influence after crashing his pickup truck into the front door of a home on Sunday night, leaving the home uninhabitable, police said Monday.
Kevin E. Cannon, 24, was arrested following the crash that was reported at 11:35 p.m. Sunday, said Jillian Messina, media relations specialist for the Toms River Police Department.
Cannon was driving north on Frann Road Sunday night when he drove off the road and through the front door of the home, Messina said. The pickup truck finally came to a stop in the living room, she said. The Lakewood Scoop published a photo showing just the tailgate of the truck sticking out of the front door.
