Remembering the American Revolution at the Berkeley Branch of the Ocean County Library

BERKELEY TOWNSHIP – The Berkeley Branch of the Ocean County Library is excited to host “Remembering the American Revolution” at 1 p.m. Saturday, June 27.

Join us as lecturer Joel Farkas of Revolutionary War Lectures discusses the poem “Paul Revere’s Ride,” the painting Washington Crossing the Delaware, Bunker Hill, the Declaration of Independence, George Washington’s false teeth, and much more.

Farkas is a tour guide for the National Park Service at Washington’s Headquarters in Morristown. He seeks to motivate audiences to learn more about the founding of our country: the people and their sacrifices that resulted in the country we live in today.

This program is generously sponsored by the Friends of the Berkeley Library. The Friends of the Library are a vital community resource that provides local support for Ocean County Library’s branches. Funds are used to expand programming at branches and support ongoing projects. Our members advocate within their communities for the library by attending community and civic events and supporting the public library mission for Freedom to Read and Access to Information.
