TOMS RIVER, NJ — Toms River police and the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office are investigating reports that gunshots were fired overnight Wednesday into Thursday in the Silverton section of the township.

There were no reported injuries, Toms River police said.

Authorities are looking into what may have happened and will release additional information as it becomes available, police said.
