Toms River Man Faces Heroin Charge After Monmouth County Arrest
Police say the man was arrested after authorities investigated why his car was sitting in a Route 35 motel parking lot.
OCEAN TOWNSHIP, NJ — A Toms River man was arrested Saturday evening after police investigating a suspicious vehicle found him in possession of heroin and a hypodermic needle, police said Monday.
Robert J. Andrews, 51, was arrested about 9 p.m. Saturday, said Detective Lt. Greg Tongring of the Ocean Township Police Department in Monmouth County.
Andrews was seen sitting in a vehicle at the Tower Motel on Route 35, Tongring said. Police Officer Dean Schoch approached the vehicle and spoke to Andrews and his investigation determined Andrews to be in possession of heroin and related paraphernalia, he said.

Andrews was charged with possession of heroin and a hypodermic syringe and released on a criminal summons pending a future court appearance.
