Toms River Motorcycle Officer Released From Hospital After Crash
The police officer injured in the Route 70-New Hampshire Avenue crash is expected to make a full recovery, the prosecutor's office said.
TOMS RIVER, NJ — A Toms River police officer whose motorcycle crashed Thursday has been released from the hospital, the Ocean County Prosecutor's Office said Friday.
The officer, who was on duty at the time, was riding his department-issued motorcycle east on Route 70 about 1:30 p.m. when the crash happened at New Hampshire Avenue, the prosecutor's office said.
The investigation by the prosecutor's office, Lakewood police and the Ocean County Sheriff's Department determined the motorcycle lost traction as he pulled onto the on-ramp for New Hampshire Avenue and dropped onto the road, the prosecutor's office said.
