Toms River South Under Shelter In Place: Police
Multiple Toms River police are at the school in response to a potential fight; there is no threat of weapons, police said.
TOMS RIVER, NJ — Toms River High School South is under a shelter-in-place order on Friday morning in response to a report of a potential fight, Toms River police said.
"Out of an abundance of caution, we currently have multiple police units at Toms River High School South for a shelter in place," police said on the department's Facebook page. "We are asking parents not to respond to the school."
A female student told authorities that an acquaintance might "come to the school to fight," police said.

"There is no threat of weapons," police said. Toms River police officers will be at Toms River South until the investigation is complete, they said.
