4 Toms River Area Runners Complete Boston Marathoner
A husband and wife from Pine Beach were among the competitors.

BOSTON -- Four Toms River area residents -- including a husband and wife from Pine Beach -- joined more than 32,000 people competing in the 119th Boston Marathon on Monday in Massachusetts.
The race annually draws some of the best marathoners in the world, along with scores of competitive age group runners from across the globe.

- Patricia Caulfield, 39, Toms River; she ran it in 3:49:00 and finished 13,589 overall, 4,697 among female runners.
- Patricia Herflicker, 51, Toms River; she ran it in 4:10.24 and finished 18,884 overall, 7,836 among female runners.
- Rudy Rinderer, 64, Pine Beach; he ran a 4:17.12 and was 20,054, 11,540 among men.
- Sandra Rinderer, 63, Pine Beach; she ran a 4:21.45 and was 20,735, 8,886 among women.
The racing got underway shortly before 9 a.m. with the mobility-impaired competitors and the last wave of runners set off on the 26.2-mile course at 11:15 a.m.
