2 Climb Fence At Six Flags Safari Against Coronavirus Order: Cops
A total of 3 trespassers entered the safari area at Six Flags Great Adventure despite of the state's stay-at-home orders, police said.

JACKSON, NJ — Three trespassers made their way into the safari at Six Flags Great Adventure this week, violating the stay-at-home orders during the coronavirus crisis, police said. Two of them allegedly were caught on camera climbing the fence.
The trespassers risked their safety by possibly coming into contact with the animals, police said.
The two fence-climbers were in the safari area for about a half hour on Tuesday before leaving. Police are trying to identify the two men, and the investigation continues.

On Thursday, a 49-year-old man was charged with defiant trespassing when he went to the park because he said he wanted to see the animals, police said. He was released at the scene, pending a court appearance.
Not only did the trespassers violate Gov. Phil Murphy’s stay-at-home orders, they also trespassed at the park which is closed until mid-May at least, according to Jackson police.

This wasn't the only time people have been caught trespassing in the area, police said.
Earlier in the week, on April 12, officers found a family riding bicycles along Reed Road, which is an unpaved township road, police said. While they weren’t trespassing on the park’s property, they were warned and police contacted park representatives to tell them they could file charges if they wanted.
The family was also advised to follow social distancing guidelines, but no summonses were issued, police said.
“We recommend that residents observe the Governor’s Executive Orders and stay at home, but if you do go outside, please remember to socially distance yourself from others,” Jackson police said. “If going out, please do not trespass onto Six Flags Adventure Property (or any others), as the park is closed at this time. There will be additional patrols in the area and officers will investigate and evaluate each instance independently, keeping in mind the Executive Orders and Constitutional Rights and complaints will be signed when warranted.”
Murphy issued the stay-at-home orders on March 21. Six Flags Great Adventure & Safari and Six Flags Hurricane Harbor have temporarily suspended operations and will open in mid-May, or as soon as possible thereafter, according to the park’s website.
