Urban Air Adventure Park Would Bring Indoor Fun To Toms River
The proposed facility would include a ninja warrior course, bumper cars, rock climbing and more.

TOMS RIVER, NJ — The revival of Indian Head Plaza may include an indoor trampoline and activities center, under a project being proposed for the shopping center.
Urban Air Adventure Park, which includes not only trampolines but bumper cars, a zipline, rock climbing and dodgeball, is being proposed for the other half of the old Pathmark that occupied the site. Rocco Febbo, the franchise owner who is proposing to bring the recreation facility to Toms River, said the park would fill the other half of the space next to Ollie's, the discount store that opened recently at the site.
Febbo, who had spent 17 years in the financial services industry, had held a birthday party for his sons at the Urban Air Adventure Park in South Hackensack "and I was drawn to how much my boys and their friends were having fun. They had all these the attractions that kept them occupied for the two hours we were there."

He had been looking to do something different, something that would allow him to spend more time with his family, and took the opportunity to become a franchisee.
Urban Air is based in Texas and has more than 200 locations across the country. In addition to the one in South Hackensack, there are locations in Milltown and one approved for Avenel.

Febbo said the application for his facility was just recently submitted to the Toms River Zoning Board of Adjustment. He said the plans are for the 30,000-square-foot facility to have rock climbing, a zip line, virtual reality activities, a ninja warrior obstacle course, bumper cars, a dodegeball court, ropes and a climbing course, trampolines and more. It will have six party rooms, a cafe area that will serve pizza, wings, ICEE, coffee, and 20 TVs so adults can enjoy watching sports or TV programs while their kids are having a blast with all the attractions. It would employ about 60 people.
"I chose Toms River because the demographics are great, not only in Toms River but in Lakewood, Brick, Howell, Jackson and the Jersey shore towns," he said.
If all goes well, he is hopeful of opening in the spring of 2019. You can follow the progress on its Facebook page.
