But this won't be your typical run in with the po-po:
Children who are caught by a Toms River police officer wearing a bicycle helmet while riding their bike will be rewarded for obeying the law.

The reward for obeying the law is one free soft-serve ice cream cup or cone.
Toms River police will issue a "summons" to children caught following the law.
