88-Year-Old Said She Saw Alleged Burglar in Home

Police are asking for community's help in finding 'Spanish-looking' man.

The 88-year-old grandmother of a homeowner allegedly interrupted a Manrodt Court burglary-in-progress Thursday.

Police were dispatched at 10:32 p.m. where the homeowner told Ptl. Rickey Ferriola that she had left her grandmother, who suffers from health issues, alone in the home at 9 a.m. When the homeowner returned at noon, the grandmother had asked her who the young man who just left the house was, police said.

The grandmother was allegedly unsure whether she was dreaming or someone was in the home, but said she saw a Spanish-looking male with black hair and a black jacket in her room before he allegedly turned around and left the house. But the grandmother said she did not notice the house to be disturbed, so thought she may have been dreaming.
