COACH'S TAKE
“I see a lot of promise. I’ve got a really young team, I’ve only got two seniors and everyone else is juniors and sophomores, but I think they’re up for it. They’ve been working really hard. I need all the girls out there now to really step up and play. I need to be able to plug anybody in anywhere, which is basically what I can do. I’ve got girls that can really go anywhere.”-Coach Lawler
They said it
"I think we’re a young team, but I think we’re strong. Team chemistry is really big this year, and you can tell by our practices that everyone is connecting with each other. Talent-wise, we have it. It’s unfortunate that last year we had a team of seven seniors, so you have to take that into account this year. Throughout our scrimmages, [the underclassmen] have proven themselves worthy of a varsity spot." —Montemarano
“A lot of the younger girls got time last year, so they’ve got experience that’s going to help us. We’ve got a lot of skilled players and we’ve been practicing hard, so I think we’ll come together and have a good chance this season.”- Ortega
