Kinnelon Hockey Club Takes to NHL Ice

Mite C team played during Devils game on Friday; Mite B team will play in February.

The Kinnelon Hockey Club Mite C squad got a chance to take the ice in front of NHL fans at the Prudential Center in Newark, recently.

The team put its skills on display during the first intermission of the New Jersey Devils' 3-1 loss to the Washington Capitals this past Friday.

It was the first of two nights that Kinnelon Hockey Club teams will play during a Devils game. The Mite B team will play on Feb. 17, when the Devils take on the Anaheim Ducks. A limited number of tickets are still available for that game.
 
Wearing their Kinnelon home and away jerseys, the Mite C team split up and scrimmaged itself for several minutes in the arena. Several goals were scored to the roar of the 18,506 in attendance.

The Kinnelon Colts Hockey Club is based at Twin Oaks Arena in Morristown. The team plays in two leagues: the New Jersey Youth Hockey League and the Twin Oaks House League, playing against teams including the New Jersey Freeze and Jersey City Capitals.
