Kinnelon Softball: Colts Fall to Chatham in Morris County Tournament
Young team hopes to learn from experience.
On a hot day in Chatham, the Kinnelon Colts could not hold off the Chatham Cougars and fell 10-0 after six innings in the first round of the Morris County Tournament.

IN SHORT
The Cougars defense did not allow more than four Kinnelon batters per inning and ended the game after six innings, 10-run ruling the Colts and advancing to the Morris County Tournament quarterfinals.
COLT OF THE GAME
Alyssa Schwed—Schwed was one of two Colts to cleanly reach base with a single. With six innings at shortstop, Schwed committed no errors and robbed Chatham of a line drive hit.
OTHER KEY PERFORMANCES
Amanda Fazio (Chatham)-On the mound, Fazio pitched six scoreless innings with nine strikeouts. At the plate Fazio went 3-3 at the plate with two triples.Kelly Winans (Chatham)-Winans went 2-4 at the plate with two RBIs. Cara Delsandro (Chatham)-Delsandro went 3-3 with two singles and a double. Her sixth inning single drove in Chatham’s final two runs.
