Kinnelon Teen Signs With North America's Top Junior Hockey League

Braydon Sisco recorded 23 goals, 31 assists in his final AAA season before signing with one of junior hockey's premier development league.

KINNELON, NJ — A Kinnelon teenager is heading to one of junior hockey's top leagues.

Braydon Sisco, a 2009-born forward from Kinnelon, has signed a Standard Player Agreement with the Sarnia Sting of the Ontario Hockey League after a standout season with the North Jersey Avalanche 16U AAA program, the team announced.

In 26 games during the 2025-26 season, the 5-foot-9, 161-pound right-shot forward posted 23 goals and 31 assists for 54 points.

"A huge Congratulations to Brayden Sisco! You make us all so proud," the borough posted on Facebook.

The Sarnia Sting are one of 20 teams in the Ontario Hockey League, playing out of Progressive Auto Sales Arena in Sarnia, Ontario. The OHL is widely regarded as one of the premier development leagues in junior hockey, serving as a primary pipeline to the NHL.

"Braydon is a player who brings offensive skill, hockey sense, and a strong work ethic to the ice," Sarnia Sting general manager Dylan Seca said in a statement. "We're excited to welcome him and his family to the Sting organization and look forward to supporting his development."

Sisco said he is eager to begin his OHL career. "I am so happy to be part of the Sting organization and grateful for the opportunity," he said in a statement.
