Police: Bloomingdale Woman Arrested After Found Sleeping In Car Intoxicated

Police said woman was allegedly intoxicated on drugs.

A woman was allegedly found sleeping in her car Thursday with the engine running intoxicated on drugs, police said.

arrested Amber Nett, 21, after they allegedly found her asleep in her vehicle parked at Lukoil. Nett was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and driving while intoxicated.

Police said they were able to awaken Nett and that they allegedly found drug paraphernalia in the car, as well as noticed Nett showing signs of intoxication. Nett was arrested and transported to the police station where she was given a drug evaluation by Sgt. Chris Burns. She was later released to a family member with a ticket to appear in court at a later date.

Nett's car was also impounded.

Maiga Boubacar, 42, of Woodbridge, was arrested on Tuesday on an outstanding warrant out of Bloomingdale. Police said Ptl. Gary Walker and Capt. Ray Muller picked up Boubacar from Essex County Family Court in New Brunswick and transported him to the police station, where he posted bail. Boubacar was released.

Police responded to a report of a missing garbage can on Sycamore Road Thursday. According to police, a resident said that he had put his can out the night before and that in the morning, the garbage can was missing. Police were unable to locate the garbage can in a search, but a few hours later, police said, the resident told police he had found his garbage can in the back of a neighbor's property. Police said they believe a bear may have removed the can.
