Police said teens were allegedly joking.

Two 17-year-old males admitted to offering candy to children from a Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV) on March 28 after following the incident in the area of Cabot Lane, in Fayson Lakes.
“The boys stated it was a joke that they now realize was not considered funny,” police said in a press release Tuesday.
On March 28, a report was filed that a male in a light-colored SUV had offered the children candy and when the children had walked away, had offered the candy a second time.
